Dash Scan™ is capable of viewing 4 unique vehicle parameters at once.  Two additional 0-5 volt signals can be monitored and recorded through a special analog input.  This means you can record and monitor difficult signals, such as RPM, directly from the vehicle’s PCM without a signal converter or interface.  In addition, the analog port allows you to view and record other real-world signals such as boost, wideband O2 or exhaust/gas temperature through the use of external sensors sold separately.

Dart’s Big Chief cylinder heads for big-block Chevys are arguably the most popular cylinder heads in bracket and sportsman drag racing. They do however present a challenge to valvetrain designers due to their aggressive valve locations and pushrod angles that put extreme sideloads on shaft rockers. JESEL solved much of the problem with its “Zero Thrust” upgrade a couple of years ago that located a Torrington needle thrust bearing to absorb the side loads exerted on the rocker.

The Lotus Elise was first released in England in late 1996. This roadster has a hand finished fiberglass body shell on top of its aluminum extrusion and bonded frame. It is capable of speeds up to 150 mph.

K&N Engineering has designed a performance intake system (57A-6030) for the 1996-2003 Lotus Elise 1.8 liter engine. It is a custom design that uses K&N’s Apollo air filter enclosure and a washable reusable K&N air filter. See application details below.

This K&N Apollo cold air intake system comes with adaptors to fit the Lotus Elise. The Apollo is designed to eliminate hot air problems and provide the benefits of an open cone filter and a standard air box in one unit.

A miniature camera, known as the ‘VINdicator,’ will make its first full-time appearance at the Scottsdale (Ariz.) Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Event, as part of SPEED’s 39 hours of live coverage starting Jan. 15 at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.

The computer operated camera is very small, measuring a little more than two and a half inches length, and will be used in some of auction block reporter Steve Magnante’s presentations. This device allows Magnante to maneuver into crevices and ‘hard-to-reach’ places, retrieving bits of information that haven’t been translated back to the viewer in the past.

Skunk2s new cutting-edge composite fuel rails are made using our proprietary carbon impregnated aerospace thermo-polymer composite. This material insulates the fuel from both radiant and conductive heat transfer under the hood. Keeping the fuel cooler results in an increase in horsepower and torque. We have seen power gains of up to 2% in real world testing. Skunk2 composite fuel rails feature a large 0.625 internal bore with radius inlets to the injectors thus improving flow characteristics. This type of radius injector inlet design is not possible with extruded and drilled aluminum fuel rails (which have sharp angles internally where the main bore meets the injector bores). Skunk2 fuel rails can be used with factory fuel lines and fuel regulators and also includes provisions for aftermarket fuel pressure gauges and additional attachments.

The Seat Ibiza is manufactured in Spain by the Volkswagen group and sold under the Seat brand. The Seat Ibiza is mostly available in the European and South American market. The supermini vehicle spans four generations and is still in production.

K&N has released a performance intake system (57A-6024) for the 2006 Seat Ibiza 1.8 liter engine, the 2005 Seat Ibiza 1.8 liter engine and the 2004 Seat Ibiza 1.8 liter engine.

The 57A-6024 is designed to eliminate hot air problems and provide the benefits of an open cone filter and standard air box in one unit. There is a washable/reusable K&N high flow air filter within a protective shell which increases volumetric efficiency.

In the economy car wars, the Toyota Yaris is holding its own despite strong competition. Its electric power steering setup takes away the engine-driven hydraulic pump of traditional power steering systems, giving it a natural even feel when driving.

K&N Engineering has released a high flow air intake system (69-8612TFK) with a flat black aluminum tube for the 2006 Toyota Yaris 1.5 liter engine and the 2007 Toyota Yaris 1.5 liter engine. The flat black K&N tube gives our system an OE look.

Along with good looks comes additional performance for the engine. K&N dynamometer tests show a 4.56 horsepower gain for the 2007 Yaris @ 5088 RPM.

The 2006 and 2007 Honda Civic Si were given a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The practical sport compact sedan has a responsive and quiet ride, but can transform into powerhouse when necessary.

K&N Engineering has designed a high flow air intake system (69-1014TS) in powder coated silver for the 2006 Honda Civic Si 2.0 liter engine and the 2007 Honda Civic Si 2.0 liter engine.

K&N dynamometer testing shows a 7.01 horsepower gain on the 2007 Honda Civic Si @ 6700 RPM. The air intake tube has a CNC precision machined billet mass air adaptor and a radiused filter adaptor which smoothes the air flow entering the tube.

New for 2008, Ford has released a sporty, yet versatile people mover, the S-MAX. Ford also redesigned the already popular Galaxy I. The new Ford Galaxy II and S-MAX are both roomy 7-seaters with sporty intentions. Both models are available outside the United States with a 2.5 liter turbocharged motor, making 220 horsepower for those that want maximum performance without sacrificing functionality.  Both vehicles are available with a 2.0 or 1.8 liter diesel power plant as well.

Ford’s new Shelby GT500 is just about perfect – it looks great, goes like hell and it makes all of the right sounds. Unfortunately, it has one major flaw that affects both performance and detracts from the driving experience. Ford selected gear ratios for the Tremec 6060 transmission to optimize 0-60mph times. The problem is that these ratios cause the engine to bog down on the 1-2 shift and also reduce shift quality.
