The kits containing the Elite AutoScanner and Elite AutoScanner Pro perform a broad range of key diagnostic and emission test functions. They are OBD II enhanced and feature CAN functionality. The code readers feature the ability to read, record and playback live sensor data, erase trouble codes, perform O2 monitor tests, graph engine data, review data off-vehicle and print it, and reset the check engine light. They also display freeze-frame data, which provides a “snapshot” of the vehicle’s operating conditions at the time of the fault. A backlight screen provides easy readability even in low light conditions. Additionally, the CP9190 will perform diagnostics on OBD I vehicles including 1981–1995 Ford, GM, and Chrysler vehicles.

When it comes to emissions system testing, Actron’s Elite AutoScanner and Elite AutoScanner Pro respond with I/M monitors that provide readiness test status.  Users can also check malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) status. The scan tools
feature a large graphic LCD screen, OBD II drive cycle mode, state OBD II check for emissions, a diagnostic monitor test, as well as vehicle information that includes VIN number and calibration IDs.

The Elite AutoScanner Kit includes a CP9185 scan tool, OBD II cable, a USB cable, a 6-foot extension cable, a manual with the Professional Companion CD containing a library of over 5,000 diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and definitions, a registration card and a soft carrying case. Optional OBD I cables provide compatibility with most pre-1996 GM, Ford and Chrysler vehicles.

The Elite AutoScanner Pro Kit includes a CP9190 scan tool, a GM OBD I ALDL cable, Ford OBD I MCU/EEC-IV cable, Chrysler OBD I SCI cable, USB cable, a six-foot extension cable. The kit also includes a cigarette lighter power adapter, a vehicle battery adapter, a manual, the Professional Companion CD, a registration card and a blow molded hard case.
