In a short period of time, GM’s LS engines have become the small-block of choice for Chevy and Pontiac enthusiasts. Power adders, strokers and full-race applications like the new LSX blocks, have created a huge demand for stronger internal components. Ross Racing Pistons now has a full line of ultra-light forged pistons in bore sizes from 3.900” to 4.200”. They are available in any stroke and compression ratio. CNC-machined out of tough 2618 T-61 aluminum forgings, the Ross LS pistons feature diamond-turned skirts, radiused domes and valve reliefs that will accommodate high-lift roller cams. They also have dual pin oilers, special accumulator grooves between the top and second ring to aid ring seal and fitted pin holes.
All LS pistons can be optioned with various coatings, vertical or radial gas ports and lightweight H-13 tool steel pins. Ross also offers a complete line of ring sets including its bulletproof gas nitride ring sets.
