Live Sockets Entertainment in conjunction with the Redline Time Attack Series will produce the Live Sockets Battle Series, a head-to-head racing competition, pitting some of the country’s top tuners against one another on California Speedway’s 21 turn, 2.8 miles Auto Competition Course.  This unique event will run within the Redline Time Attack weekend July 19-20th at the famed Fontana raceway. 

Concept
The Time Attack racing format features teams running against the clock, trying to record the fastest lap time possible.  This form of racing has proved to be very popular with vehicle manufacturers, tuners, aftermarket parts manufacturers and drivers since it is relatively inexpensive and allows them to showcase their products and services.

The Live Sockets Battle Series is the evolution of this concept.  Based, loosely on the Time Attack format, the series will feature two rival teams competing against the clock and each other.  The action will begin with a rolling start off the grid.  Teams will be separated by a specified distance.  In the course of the battle, the team in the lead must try to extend that distance while the team in the follow position must try to close the gap. 

Designed to mimic traditional circuit racing, the Live Sockets Battle Series will provide spectators with truly awesome wheel-to-wheel racing action between some of the top tuners and teams in the nation.

Facilities
The Live Sockets Battle Series will be produced at some of the most prestigious tracks across the United States.  The inaugural event will be held at the Auto Club Speedway (formerly California Speedway) on the 21 turn, 2.8 miles Auto Competition Course.  This track configuration features one of the banked turns on the big oval course leading into the infield road course. 

Media coverage
The Live Sockets Battle Series designed to showcase some of the top tuners in the nation will feature multiple-camera setup and on-board cams to capture all the action and team commentary throughout the course of the races.  Live Sockets will release the segments for free online through the Live Sockets network and selected content partners.
