Katech Performance has introduced a stainless steel short throw shifter for the 2004-2007 Cadillac CTS-V. “We’ve listened to our CTS-V customers who have demanded a shifter with no noise at an affordable price,” said Caleb Newman, vice president, director of aftermarket operations, Katech Performance. “Our new shifter is a two-piece design that isolates noise away from the driver.”
The Katech Performance shifter reduces shift travel by 30% to help drivers be more prompt and accurate in their gear progression. This ultimately allows the vehicle to operate more consistently at an enhanced performance level. The company also has improved upon the knob fastening method with its new application.
Katech is no stranger to CTS-V performance, having built the race engines that powered the Cadillac team to SCCA SPEED World Challenge GT championships in 2005 and 2007.
