Formula DRIFT launches new e-commerce website with official Formula DRIFT licensed apparel. The season is halfway complete and with only a few points separating the leaders of the Castrol SYNTEC Power Cup which is still up for grabs.

Formula DRIFT has launched their official e-commerce website. The site will allow consumers to purchase official Formula DRIFT licensed merchandise including t-shirts, hats, and other apparel. Products that were only available at track events are now available online. The online store will be updated frequently with all the latest Formula DRIFT gear and is located on the Home Page of the Formula DRIFT website at http://www.formuladrift.com.

“The season has been better than expected with an increase in attendance at every venue and extremely fierce competition. We are excited to see who comes out on top for the most competitive season yet,” said Jim Liaw, president and co-founder of Formula DRIFT.

With the Formula DRIFT Championship presented by Circuit City halfway complete, the battle for the Castrol SYNTEC Power Cup has intensified with less than 100 points separating the top 6 drivers. Every win counts for the remaining 3 events. Tanner Foust leads the way with 346 points followed by Dai Yoshihara and Chris Forsberg.

The Tires.com Triple Crown continues with the second of 3 events at Round 5 of the Formula DRIFT season at Infineon Raceway on August 11. Chris Forsberg leads the chase for the $10,000 bonus prize money with Dai Yoshihara and Tanner Foust right behind him. Last year’s winner Rhys Millen is currently in 6th Place.

The new Team Drift competition has been a success with the fans. Team Retaks and Super Ramen Allstars are currently tied for the lead with 24 points. Team Mazda, Drift Alliance, Drift Pro and Team Fast and Furious are right behind them in the points standings. The next and final event on November 30 at the Arizona Grand Prix will determine the Team Drift winner.

The Formula DRIFT season continues with the next event on August 11 at Infineon Raceway for Round 5 “Fastest in the Circuit”.
