Litchfield has been at the forefront of Subaru development for many years and the latest version of our Type-20 is due to launch in the coming weeks. The original MY08 Type-20 “Concept” was unveiled at the 2008 Autosport show where it received a very enthusiastic welcome, the car subsequently went on to received critical in the UK motoring press. The 2010 Type-20 is designed to improve each aspect of the 2008 car. Close attention to detail and working with the very best UK suppliers has seen some significant progress in all areas of the cars performance.

Having worked with a number of different fuel injectors from around the world Litchfield have decided to produce their own version. With the cost of importing parts from Japan significantly more expensive and some of the products received from other parts of the world be questionable in quality. It was decided to produce a UK sourced alternative and adapt it to suit the Subaru Impreza manifolds.

One of the most exciting developments for 2009 is our new Subaru Twin Entry Turbo series, as featured on our latest Type-20. Designed as a bolt on replacement for the JDM Twinscroll cars these new turbos will support power from 380bhp to over 500bhp. We have worked with longstanding Turbo supplier Turbo Dynamics to produce our own unique Turbo exhaust housings. Using the latest computer design and experienced British engineering we hope to offer a Turbo option to suit each customer’s needs.

It looks like Ian Litchfield, founder of Litchfield Imports, is at it again. LitchfieldImports.co.uk is advertising that the Litchfield 2007 STI Spec C GP Edition is coming soon! While no concrete details have been released, we are drooling at the thought of another one of Ian’s creations following the release of the Type 25 in 2004. The type 25 is basically a JDM STi on sterroids. It maintains driveability but offers what many would call a level of performance comparable to some Porsche 911 turbos.
