Takeda USA is pleased to announce the release of their new Takeda Retain Short Ram intake for the 2008-09 Scion tC part number TR-2001P. The 2008 Scion xD is a smooth subcompact coupe that has the practicality of a four-door hatchback. It makes good use of the available space. There is a 1.8 liter engine under the hood that’s rated at 128 horsepower.K&N has designed an air intake kit (69-8615TS) that allows the 2008 Scion xD 1.8 liter engine to make better power. K&N dynamometer tests show the 1.8 liter engine gained 5.45 horsepower @ 5300 RPMs with this air intake. The Scion xB is a great sub-compact car for cargo or passengers. It was released for the 2004 model year in June of 2003 with its 1.5 liter inline four-cylinder engine. In 2008 the Scion xB introduced a more powerful 158 horsepower 2.4 liter engine.

The xB has always been roomy, stylish and fun to drive. It has many available options such as satellite radio, sport pedals, shift knob, subwoofer, backlit foot wells and cup holders. The Scion xB is a prime choice for an economical 5-door compact station wagon.

Scion has designed it’s 2007 tC for the tuner market. Its steering and suspension have a European bias. In fact it’s platform is shared with a Toyota model that is sold in Europe. The panoramic glass moon roof is standard along with an updated audio system that is mounted on the steering wheel.

With a stylish new body and more interior room, the 2008 Scion xB is a grown-up version of the first generation xB. Scion also added the 2.4L engine from the tC sports coupe to the list of the xB’s features. K&N has designed and released a new performance intake system for the 2008 Scion xB which uncovers an additional 9.06 horsepower at 5026 RPM hidden behind the xB’s factory intake.

Louisville, KY October 16, 2006 - For the second year in a row, defending champions Scott Owens and Kyle Witherspoon of Edge Audio dominated the competition at the dB Drag World Finals in Louiville, Kentucky this past weekend.  Both of their vehicles, fully equipped with Pioneer Premier® SPL subwoofers, amplifiers and headunits, were crowned the loudest vehicles in the world, within their categories.  Owen’s 2002 F-250, which competes in the Extreme 5+ class, posted a sound pressure level (SPL) of 178.3 dB while Witherspoon’s 2004 Scion xB in the Extreme 2 category produced an SPL of 176.4 dB.
