Subaru of America, Inc. today announced pricing on new mid-year 2010 Impreza® WRX® Limited Models. The 4-door WRX Limited will be priced at $28,495 while the 5-door model will be priced at $28,995. The Limited models are priced $1,000 more than the Premium models, and are enhanced with High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlights, SIRIUS(®) Satellite Radio and leather-trimmed seats.

The Impreza N2010 uses the new larger 33mm air restrictor, introduced by the FIA to help balance the performance of Group N and the unrestricted Super2000 rally cars.  Increasing the restrictor diameter from 32 to 33mm, fitting high flow fuel injectors and recalibrating the ECU increases peak power by 20 bhp, but more significantly, improves torque and responsiveness throughout the rev range.

Subaru of America, Inc. announced today increases to its contingency award payouts for Subaru drivers in the 2010 Rally America National Championship.  The Subaru Rally Support Program, which was created in 2005, continues to be the most lucrative contingency program in North American rallying, with over $20,000.00 available per event for eligible Subaru drivers to earn. The program will again focus support on the popular Super Production class (SP) within the Rally America National Championship where the top finishing eligible Subaru SP driver can now earn $7,000.00 at each round.

Subaru Rally Team USA announced today that reigning four-time Rally America National Champion Travis Pastrana and BMX Freestyle legend Dave Mirra will both return as factory team drivers. Subaru Rally Team USA will contest the entire 2010 Rally America National Championship, ESPN’s X Games 16 Rally Car Racing event as well as participate in Rally America’s new and highly anticipated European-style rally cross exhibition events.  Pastrana and Mirra will each pilot a 2010 Subaru Impreza WRX STI rally car prepared by Subaru technical partner Vermont SportsCar.

Subaru Rally Team USA driver Travis Pastrana wrapped up his winning 2009 Rally America season with yet another victory this weekend at the year-end Lake Superior Performance Rally. “This was a great rally for us,” said Pastrana. “It’s one of my favorites because it’s a more technical rally than some of the others on the circuit and it’s great to drive.” Heading into this event, Pastrana had already secured the Rally America driver’s title for 2009 and said his objective was to earn as many stage wins as possible. With nothing to lose, he admitted he drove hard and took plenty of risks to win all but two stages – falling only about four seconds short of an outright sweep over more than 120 miles of racing.

In sunny, 80-degree weather at Willow Springs International Raceway, Crawford Performance marked a huge day at the October 10th SubieFest 2009. Exhibiting their own vehicles and contributing performance engineering to other teams, Crawford Performance sponsored six cars in the weekend event sponsored by SubieSport Magazine. Highlights from the weekend included a first place finish and SubieFest track record by LIC Motorsports in the Unlimited Time Attack-sponsored 2004 Subaru STI driven by Dr. Russ Warr. The car featured a Crawford S3RL-i short block, CP35R turbo kit and engine management tuning by Crawford Performance and finished with a new Subie Fest track record with a 1:22.519, demolishing the previous year’s record by over 6 seconds.

Subaru Road Racing Team (SRRT) drivers Andrew Aquilante and Kristian Skavnes drove a focused race enroute to a fifth place finish in the four-hour Grand-Am KONI Sports Car Challenge road racing series season finale at VIRginia International Raceway near Danville, Va. When the checkered flag flew on the last lap of the season’s final race, Aquilante and Skavnes, drivers of the #111 Subaru Legacy 2.5GT spec.B, had finished second in the Street Tuner class’ season-long Drivers’ Championship.

Piloting a lesser specification Subaru Impreza WRX STI at this past weekend’s Rally Colorado, round eight of 2009 Rally America which was taken place from 19-20 September, Subaru Rally Team USA (SRT USA) driver Ken Block was without his usual high-powered Open Class 2009 Subaru Impreza WRX STI and instead drove the Super Production (SP) class Subaru Impreza WRX STI of fellow SRT USA teammate Dave Mirra, who did not attend Rally Colorado due to a schedule conflict with a BMX event. The Super Production (SP) class, a new category in the 2009 Rally America series. The budget-minded SP class features much more restrictive regulations on modifications than the Open Class, where Block has been driving for the past three seasons.

The tenth of 11 races in the 2009 Grand-Am KONI Sports Car Challenge series season, this weekend’s 2.5-hour run on the massive 4.486-mile, 24-turn road course west of Salt Lake City in the Utah desert, known as Miller Motorsports Park, will take place on Friday, Sept. 18 at 4pm ET. Andrew Aquilante and Kristian Skavnes, co-drivers in the Subaru Road Racing Team’s (SRRT) #111 Subaru Legacy 2.5GT spec.B, will enter the race sitting in second place in the Street Tuner class points, 25 points from the championship lead.

Having worked with a number of different fuel injectors from around the world Litchfield have decided to produce their own version. With the cost of importing parts from Japan significantly more expensive and some of the products received from other parts of the world be questionable in quality.  It was decided to produce a UK sourced alternative and adapt it to suit the Subaru Impreza manifolds.
