It was not until 2005 that Ings+1 released the first body kit available for the 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STi (known in Japan as the GDB E-Type); a kit now lusted after by many 2005 STi enthusiasts. Ings+1 recently announced that a body kit for the 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX STi (known in Japan as the GDB E-Type) is coming soon.
This comes on the heals of the announcement by Tommykaira to offer a tuned Japanese Impreza, called the Tommykaira M20b. The release of this vehicle is expected in the Winter of 2005 and will include a complete body kit that has piqued the interests of Subaru enthusiasts throughout the world.
Still, its expected that Ings+1 will be the first to offer a body kit for the 2006 STi and more likely at a price more enthusiasts can afford.
Announcements like these suggest that tuners and manufacturers are heeding the calls by enthusiasts for the timely release of aftermarket products shortly after the release of new vehicle models.

Racecomp Engineering is proud to announce the first in a line of innovative and unique products from the leader in suspension and brakes tuning for the Subaru Impreza platform.
Tired of most camber plates that have the unwelcome side effect of raising the front end of the car as much as a ½ inch, Racecomp Engineering has produced a ground-breaking camber plate design that actually reduces ride height.
Made with aircraft grade aluminum and using a heavy duty pillowball found in the Racecomp Engineering Lowering and Non-Lowering camber plates, these pillowball mounts will be up to the task of both heavy track and street duty. Virtually silent, these camber plates will not add an excessive amount of harshness to the street ride of any Subaru.

One of the very first tuners in Japan to announce the availability of a tuned version of the all new 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX STi (known as the F-Type Impreza in Japan, referring to the body model), Tommykaira posted a preproduction image of what will be known as the M20b on its website. (see below).
The M20b sports a new stylized body kit that greatly enhances the look of the STi by removing the grille that comes standard on the 2006 (F Type) Impreza. When Subaru released the new model, many enthusiasts disliked it because the front end of the STi looked too busy or too ugly. The M20b shows off the first body kit ever considered for production and is very popular with enthusiasts---that is until they learn of the price tag. Generally, Tommykaira items are priced in the very high end of the market and reflects the time, style, quality, and research and engineering that goes into Tommykaira’s products.

The iconic Subaru Impreza is set for a dramatic change! A bold new hatchback is to replace the Impreza in 2007.
This news might come as a shock for Subaru fans but the iconic Japanese carmaker has some serious plans for the next Impreza.
Subaru gave a hint of what to expect of the Impreza replacement at the Tokyo Motor Show where the carmaker unveiled the radical looking B5 concept car.
The B5 shows Subaru’s distinctive new design direction and it featured the company’s new aeroplane-shaped grille.
Although the speedometer of the concept car is digital the B5’s rev-counter takes centre position in front of the driver as with the current Impreza STi.

Today, Cobb Tuning announced the release of both a Street and Racing downpipe for the Subaru Legacy GT (5MT) and Outback XT models. Constructed from 304 Stainless Steel and fully TIG welded, the Cobb downpipe is designed to replace the factory downpipe and main catalytic converter section of the stock exhaust. It is 100% bolt-on and will bolt directly to the factory turbocharger. This downpipe replaces the stock exhaust components until the “cat-back” or “after-cat” section. While the Cobb downpipe is designed to bolt up to the factory cat-back components, it is compatible with the Cobb cat-back exhaust, or any aftermarket cat-back system designed to bolt to the factory main catalytic converter.
