The Chrysler PT Cruiser is known for its retro styling and spacious interior. Handling and steering are good and its ride is smooth. K&N Engineering has developed a performance air intake system (57-1550) that is street legal in 50 states for the 2006 and 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser with 2.4 liter non turbo engine. K&N dynamometer testing shows a 7.17 horsepower gain at 5004 rpm. The 57-1550 features a specially molded intake tube and a large K&N air filter. The air filter, RP-4660, fits into the stock location. Cooler outside air is directed toward the K&N air filter from the factory fresh air duct.

The 300C SRT-8 model comes with a 6.1 liter Hemi V8 engine delivering 425 horsepower.
