This week, testing was completed at Willow Springs Raceway of the new Variant 1 track wing. The wing surpassed performance expectations on the test car, time attack driver Mike Bonanni’s 370Z. We were able to make some significant strength improvements during the testing phase. The main focus was on wing rigidity, and range of adjustability. The wing is adjustable from 5 degrees to 18 degrees angle of attack in one degree increments. Kognition has focused on product performance, reliabilty and ease of setup. A sports car is typically defined as having two doors, and often does not have a rear seat. This is not true with the Nissan Maxima. The KW suspensions coilover for the Nissan 370Z enables the owner to lower their vehicle 20-45mm on the front axles and 0-45mm on the rear axles and retains enough travel to handle maximum load and dynamic loads during driving. Adjustable (and independent reacting) rebound and compression damping allows a truly individual performance driving setup for those technically demanding drivers. Compression dampening adjustment is conducted in the low-speed range, while the high-speed set-up, so decisive for driving comfort, has been pre-set by KW engineers.
