The K&N High-Flow Intake System for the 2009-10 Nissan 370Z 3.7L, (part no. 69-7078TS) increases horsepower by 14.2 hp at 5600 rpm over the stock intake configuration. To achieve such a performance increase, K&N replaces the original dual intake assembly; including the air boxes, air filters and intake tubes with an all-new intake design. The new system draws air through K&N High-Flow Air Filters that increases airflow and never need to be replaced. Protecting the cone-shaped air filters, and isolating it from engine heat, are powder coated heat shields that replaces the stock air boxes. As it passes the filter, air travels through K&N mandrel bent aluminum tubes that are formed and shaped, in the design phase, to drive a more laminar flow of air to the car’s engine.

This week, testing was completed at Willow Springs Raceway of the new Variant 1 track wing. The wing surpassed performance expectations on the test car, time attack driver Mike Bonanni’s 370Z. The KW suspensions coilover for the Nissan 370Z enables the owner to lower their vehicle 20-45mm on the front axles and 0-45mm on the rear axles and retains enough travel to handle maximum load and dynamic loads during driving. Adjustable (and independent reacting) rebound and compression damping allows a truly individual performance driving setup for those technically demanding drivers. Compression dampening adjustment is conducted in the low-speed range, while the high-speed set-up, so decisive for driving comfort, has been pre-set by KW engineers.
