Takeda USA, is pleased to announce the release of their new Takeda Retain Short Ram intake for the 2009 Toyota Corolla L4-1.8L part number TR-2006P. The Takeda Retain Short Ram air intake replaces the bulky and inefficient factory intake increasing air volume and improving air velocity for increased horsepower, torque and improved throttle response. TR-2006P utilizes a specially designed 1-piece clear coat polished aluminum intake tube to guide the air into the motor and provide an aggressive style.

The Toyota Prius continues to be a hybrid superstar with a slightly different look in 2010. Sharp creases on the corners streamline airflow over the body, along with a longer spoiler, flat underbody panels and an optimized roof arch. There is more headroom in the rear seat and a little more head and shoulder room. K&N has released a replacement panel air filter (33-2435) for the 2010 Toyota Prius with a 1.0 liter inline-4 hybrid engine. The Toyota Corolla and Toyota Auris with 1.4 liter and 2.0 liter diesel engines have made a nice niche for themselves in the European and Asian markets along with their British counterpart the Toyota Avensis. DENSO Corporation has developed the world’s first passenger vehicle air conditioning system that uses ejector technology. The ejector, which is a small refrigerant injector, contributes to an overall reduction in power consumption. The system will be installed on the new Prius, introduced by Toyota this month.

The Toyota Corolla was revised in 2009 and features variable timing for both intake and exhaust valves.  Fuel economy can be a big reason to buy a Corolla, and the 1.8 liter four-cylinder version is efficient. To give the Corolla more power K&N designed a performance air intake system (69-8757TTK) in black for the 2009 Toyota Corolla with a 1.8 liter engine. K&N dynamometer tests show the 1.8 liter engine gained 6.37 horsepower at 5324 RPMs with this air intake kit.

The Toyota Yaris with the 1.0 liter engine is one of the smallest super-mini’s you can buy in Europe. Toyota has modeled the Yaris after the Aygo. Rostra Precision Controls Inc. introduces a cruise control system for one of today’s most popular hybrid vehicles, the 2008 Toyota Prius. The new Rostra Prius Cruise Control System features all traditional cruise control functions, including set speed, coast/reduce speed, resume/accel, controlled resume rate and retention of last set speed. Toyota released the new Auris hatchback to the European market in early 2007. With a sporty new look and exciting features like a 1.4 liter engine, a 5 speed manual transmission which boasts a 0-60 time of 13 seconds, 9 airbags, a 5 star cabin protection rating for safety, and a stereo with integrated MP3/WMA player, the Auris was intended to lure car buyers away from other compact hatchback models.

The Lexus IS220 and Toyota Avensis II are large family cars built for the European Market. These sporty sedans are a great choice for roomy interior and economical fuel mileage.

K&N Engineering developed a new replacement air filter, 33-2926, that fits directly into the factory air box of the 2005 to 2008 Lexus IS220 models with a 2.2 liter engine, 2005 to 2008 Toyota Avensis II models with a 2.2 liter engine and 2006 to 2008 Toyota Avensis II models (begining in September of ‘06) with a 2.0 liter engine. In the economy car wars, the Toyota Yaris is holding its own despite strong competition. Its electric power steering setup takes away the engine-driven hydraulic pump of traditional power steering systems, giving it a natural even feel when driving.

K&N Engineering has released a high flow air intake system (69-8612TFK) with a flat black aluminum tube for the 2006 Toyota Yaris 1.5 liter engine and the 2007 Toyota Yaris 1.5 liter engine. The flat black K&N tube gives our system an OE look.

Along with good looks comes additional performance for the engine. K&N dynamometer tests show a 4.56 horsepower gain for the 2007 Yaris @ 5088 RPM.

K&N Engineering has released a 69-Series Typhoon Air Intake (69-8609TTK) in textured black for the 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 206 Toyota Camry 2.4 liter engine. K&N dynamometer tests show a 6.4 horsepower gain at 5600 RPM.

To add performance K&N replaces the original restrictive air intake with a free-flowing mandrel-bent aluminum tube induction system .
