TECHART Automobildesign really set the sparks flying at this year`s trial of strength at the High Speed Event in Nardo/Italy. Test driver Sandro Reuter reached a top speed of 321,2 km/h, respectively 200 mph, with the TECHART refined Porsche Cayenne Turbo. TECHART thus secured a new speed record for Fullsize-SUVs. The circular 12.4 kilometer track is still considered to be the world´s fastest motor racing circuit, even ahead of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in the United States.

TECHART is celebrating the world premiere of its individualization program for the Porsche Panamera models at the IAA 2009. The first phase of the TECHART program includes, among other things, exterior components for improved aerodynamics and a striking appearance that is typical of TECHART, 21 and 22 inch light metal wheels, a multifunctional daylight running light system, as well as extensive options finishing the interior.

With Uwe Alzen and Adrian Sutil, TECHART is acquiring two new brand ambassadors. The two racing drivers will be at TECHART’s disposal in 2009 as representatives of the brand and also as test drivers. In this function, they will be supporting TECHART in the development of various components. “Both drivers have a wealth of knowledge from the motor racing scene. In this regard, thanks to his many years of experience in the touring car series and long-distance championships, Uwe Alzen is an expert who is in great demand,” says Thomas Behringer, Managing Director of TECHART Automobildesign GmbH, Leonberg, backing up this move.

Top times for TECHART at this year’s Tuner Grand Prix at the Hockenheimring race track. Behind the wheel of the TECHART GTstreet RS based on Porsche 911 GT2, racing driver Jörg Hardt left the competition with no chance and won the duel in the GT Turbo class. This meant that he was able to repeat last year’s victory. The sport auto Tuner Grand Prix is the world’s largest trial of strength in the tuning sector.

Unmistakeable design characterises the latest TECHART program for the 911 Porsche models from mod. 09, presented as a world premiere at the Geneva Auto-Salon 2009. Based on the Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet 2009 model, the design highlights the aesthetics, sportiness and dynamics of the vehicle.

TECHART GTstreet vehicles have ranked among the fastest and highest performance sports cars in the world since 2001. This high performance is reflected in the use of the TECHART Performance Kit TA097/T2.2 and stands at 700 PS and 515 kW, with the sports car having a maximum torque of 860 Nm. This performance is achieved with the use of modified turbochargers, large carbon fibre inlet manifolds, special intercoolers, a valve-controlled sports exhaust system combined with high-performance manifolds and a modified pressure sensor and sports air filter. In the wind tunnel, the GTstreet Aerodynamic Package reveals the highest performance values: at a speed of 140 km/h, 10 kg of downforce on the front axle and back axle is recorded.

The successful classic TECHART Formula is now available in new dimensions: 21 and 23 inch diameter sizes have been added to the selection. Long and curved spokes
offer large openings for the wheel arch ventilation and a clear view of the braking system. Formula rims define the perfect look, whether in a striking individual colour, shiny silver finish or glossy polished black in a GTS design.

TECHART presents a new daytime running light system for the Porsche Cayenne. World debut at the Essen Motor Show on November 28th, 2008. The new multifunctional TECHART daytime running light does not only apply a distinctive styling to the Porsche Cayenne exterior. It combines daylight running lamps, position light, parking light and direction indicators in one LED system unit and a common housing. And therefore integrates seamlessly with the exterior design. Luminous intensity is automatically adjusted depending on the selected driving light. In addition, the daytime running light is self-dimming during indicating for more safety during turning maneuvers.
