The new Ford 5.0L engine in the 2011 Mustang is an amazing performance package. Now, with the addition of the new ROUSH® exhaust for this engine, it can also have the growl and menacing throaty bark that an American V-8 muscle car needs. Drivers will experience an aggressive sound under acceleration, yet refined under steady state, or cruising conditions, without the dreaded “drone” inside the cabin.

As children, we learned that building blocks were fun. We could start with something small and easily add on as our imagination grew. However, as our interests turned to automobiles, it became clear that upgrades needed to be done all at once with little room to modify once installed. Owners can start at a base “Phase 1” level and grow to “Phase 2” and finally “Phase 3” as time, budget, and desire allows.

It takes a lot of time to develop a new vehicle from concept to assembly line. In the case of the ROUSH® 2010 Mustang, that timeline was just 11-months.  “It was last April that the conceptual drawings for the ROUSH 2010 Mustang were approved. That kicked off everything that needed to be done in order to get this vehicle ready for production. We wanted to be as close to having our car available to the same time that the dealers would start to get their inventory of the stock Ford 2010 Mustang, so there were a lot of people at ROUSH working under a very tight deadline. I’m proud to say that we accomplished everything that needed to be done in 11-months, a record development curve for a ROUSH vehicle,” stated Jack Roush.
