Cobb Tuning announced the release of Cobb Embroidered Floor Mats for the Subaru Legacy GT, Outback XT, Impreza WRX, RS, STI, and Forester STI. Constructed from DuPont’s RPM nylon yarn, these floor mats feature a thicker, more luxurious texture compared to the utilitarian factory mats. The design is slightly larger in some areas to provide maximum coverage and protection of your carpet. Cobb actually did some R&D to eliminate any possible interference with pedals, trunk releases, fuel door releases, etc. The “Tractionbac” backing material will assist in preventing unwanted sliding while a reinforced floor peg hole lets you utilize the OEM floor peg to keep the driver’s side mat firmly in place. Carefully matched to the factory carpet color.

Today, Cobb Tuning announced the release of its proprietary engine control unit reflash hardware for the 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX STI. The AccessPORT allows a user the ability to upload preprogrammed maps to the Engine Control Unit (ECU) via the diagnosis port located below the STI’s steering wheel.
The AccessECU Technology
The AccessPORT relies on the powerful AccessECU technology to perform the task of reprogramming the factory ECU for high performance applications. By fully reverse engineering the factory ECU in-house, Cobb not only modified all the fuel, ignition timing, and boost maps but also re-engineer critical parts of the software for improved performance and consistency.

Today, Cobb Tuning announced the release of both a Street and Racing downpipe for the Subaru Legacy GT (5MT) and Outback XT models. Constructed from 304 Stainless Steel and fully TIG welded, the Cobb downpipe is designed to replace the factory downpipe and main catalytic converter section of the stock exhaust. It is 100% bolt-on and will bolt directly to the factory turbocharger. This downpipe replaces the stock exhaust components until the “cat-back” or “after-cat” section. While the Cobb downpipe is designed to bolt up to the factory cat-back components, it is compatible with the Cobb cat-back exhaust, or any aftermarket cat-back system designed to bolt to the factory main catalytic converter.
