It’s a hat-trick: for the third time, AC Schnitzer has gone to Nardò in southern Italy and brought home a third world record for Aachen. The legendary high-speed circuit has already been the setting for so many records. Once a year in southern Italy, under the aegis of “CONTINENTAL AG” and in collaboration with the editors of “AUTO BILD sportscars”, the ‘creme de la crème’ of vehicle tuners go head to head - this year on 18th and 19th October 2009. The AC Schnitzer ACS3 3.5d Coupé succeeded in breaking the world record from 2006 for the fastest road-legal diesel car by over 8.7 km/h.

"Only serious, safe tuning will bring the hoped-for driving pleasure!“ Under this motto, the Association of German Car Tuners (VDAT) every year launches a special concept car. In 2010, BMW AG is providing a BMW 123d Coupé for the Association’s “TUNE IT! SAFE!“ initiative, which is also supported by the Police and the Federal Ministry for Transport, Building and Road Development. Most of the vehicle accessory equipment has been supplied by Aachen-based BMW tuning specialist AC Schnitzer.

Agility + Elegance = Fun. According to BMW, this formula forms the basis for the design of the new X1. The formula should certainly not be solved to X! Because it’s fine just as it is. Although “Gran Turismo” cars have celebrated great successes in the past, the BMW 5-series GT has further refined and reinterpreted all Gran Turismo attributes.

Ready for its world premiere: the extensive product range for the BMW Z4 by AC Schnitzer. The Aachen-based tuning specialist has further optimised the brand-new classic from BMW, which has already received extensive accolades from the trade press. The BMW Z4 as standard is far from under-powered. But as is well known, enthusiastic drivers can never have enough power. Sufficient reason then for AC Schnitzer to upgrade the Z4 3.5i Turbo to 286 km/h. With a power of 360 HP and an unladen weight of 1485 kg, the open-top roadster from BMW accelerates from a standing start to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds. Even the most demanding driver will be delighted with this performance.

Under the small bonnet of the MINI Cooper S the 1.6 litre engine provides power of 175 HP.

We are delighted to welcome the latest member of the BMW family and - in good time for the official launch - can already supply a range of AC Schnitzer wheel and tyre combinations for the new Z4 Roadster. In the second generation Z4, BMW has moved away from the classic Roadster top. The new BMW Z4 to be launched in May 2009 - instead of its “soft cap” - has a folding hard top, making it a Roadster and Coupé in one.
