Subaru of America, Inc., along with Bob Baker Subaru, donated a vehicle for use in advancing education at a local Automotive Youth Education Systems “AYES” school. This time a 2009 Subaru Legacy was donated to the Monte Vista High School program. The previous vehicle, a 2006 Subaru Legacy, was donated to Ontario High School. Kurt Anderson of Bob Baker Subaru thought it would be a great idea to donate the 2009 Legacy to the school and worked with Daniel Page, southwest field service manager for Subaru, to make the donation a reality.

BMW Group-led consortium is a winner in Technology Strategy Board £25m Ultra Low Carbon Vehicle Demonstrator competition. DENSO Corporation has developed the world’s first passenger vehicle air conditioning system that uses ejector technology. The ejector, which is a small refrigerant injector, contributes to an overall reduction in power consumption. The system will be installed on the new Prius, introduced by Toyota this month.

DENSO Corporation has improved the temperature detection accuracy of its newly developed diesel exhaust temperature sensor.  The new sensor, which is located in front of the diesel particulate filter (DPF) and used to control temperature for DPF regeneration*, helps reduce harmful diesel emissions and improves fuel efficiency.  The product will be installed on heavy duty and medium duty diesel vehicles sold in the U.S. in fall of 2009.  It will also be installed to vehicles sold in Japan and Europe in 2010.
