Team Audiobahn sweeps the Summer Bash show in Little Rock this past weekend. Saturday morning when the show opened its doors the first thing you noticed was Audiobahn was in the house. Five Audiobahn sponsored vehicles were on display for show goers to drool over. With support from Richard Crowder, Doug Parks, and the Audiobahn semi truck, Audiobahn made nothing short of a statement. Four vehicles were featured outside in front of the rig, while Ashley Becker’s award winning Chevy Cavalier was on display in the main hall. Consumers were able to view the cars inside and out as well as grab the newest Audiobahn swag. Throughout the day you couldn’t look anywhere without seeing the Audiobahn name whether it was product in cars, lanyards, poster bags, T-shirts, drink koozies, or the newest product catalog.
The weather was perfect all day except for a light rain shower mid afternoon. When all the water had cleared, the trophies emerged and Team Audiobahn walked away with 10 awards. Becker’s Cavalier took home the coveted “Best Of Show” award as well as 1st place female class and best display. Melissa Smith showed off her white wide body 05 Celica and was awarded with 1st place Toyota, 2nd place female, and 3rd place 2 door mild class. Chris Jenkins Mazda RX-8 is always a crowd favorite and delivered once again grabbing 1st place 2 door mild class and best vinyl graphics. David Bendsen’s 07 “Joker” Hyundai Elantra took 1st place 4 door wild class, while Audiobahn’s Scion XA stole 2nd place 4 door wild class.

Audiobahn would like to congratulate Johnny Ngo on two magazine features this month with his amazing Audiobahn sponsored 02 Toyota Celica GT-S. Landing cover of the July 2007 Performance Auto and Sound and a feature in the July 2007 HCI (Hot Compacts & Imports.) It is hard enough these days to get a show car featured in one magazine let alone two but that’s just what Ngo set out to do! Building one of the cleanest Celica’s to come out of the west coast. Featuring a limited 15 piece wide body kit drenched in retina burning yellow paint, deep dish J-Line19 inch wheels, 260hp on tap, and a full Audiobahn system is what sets the Celica miles ahead of the competition.
The system in the car is crazy and you better be wearing your stunna shades when lifting the hatch cause the ice is sure to melt you. Bass pounds through two 12 inch Ultra Excursion subs powered by Audiobahn’s A12001DT. That crisp clear sound comes from the 6.5 inch components powered by the A6004T. When Ngo is on some down time at a car show he can fire up the two Audiobahn 7 inch monitors and watch his favorite movie.
One of the most unique features of the car is that Ngo drives it daily and puts miles on it just like he would a beater car. But yet he is still able to go to shows and clean the floor with the competition. Look for Ngo’s Celica at shows all over the west coast and he is working on trying to get out to the east coast to meet with his team Jinsoku who currently rules the east coast show circuit.

The Wholesale House opened up its doors to a record crowd of dealers to view their inventory, place orders, and see the latest and greatest in the 12 volt world. The Audiobahn rig along with three spectacular show cars; a Scion XA, Hyundai Elantra, and Dodge Magnum were on display right up front at the entrance to this massive show.
On Friday the 8th set up was marred by a brief but intense rain and wind storm that hit the field where all of the vendors were working. Tents blew away and tables and chairs got flipped over. It was like a scene from the movie “Twister”. Just as quick as the rain had started it stopped and the sky cleared up. The Wholesale House staff provided a BBQ dinner for the hard-working vendors and then a game of “touch” football started. The music, food, and football continued until about 9:00 pm.
The weather however was perfect on the day of the event with gorgeous clear skies and temperatures in the high 70’s. As soon as the show opened, dealers flocked through The Wholesale House’s doors, and a steady stream of people continued to arrive throughout the day. Vincent Lombard Director of Sales, Josh Kelderman Marketing Coordinator, and Richard Crowder Audiobahn’s Semi Truck Driver were manning the huge booth. Dealers were also treated to a catered lunch, while 37 amazing show cars participated in the show’s annual car show and the top 10 of those vehicles, as voted by the show attendees, won trophies. Audiobahn also sponsored a dunk tank which gave dealers a chance to win an extra show discount and dunk two lovely young ladies.

Endless show vehicles, food, drink, people, and entertainment can mean only one thing: Texas Heat Wave which definitely lived up to its name this past weekend with temperatures in the 90’s. Audiobahn was well represented at the 2-day event and left guests with nothing but adrenalin.
An estimated 10,000 people attended this year’s event, and even though the weather was hot and humid, the event was undoubtedly “Cool”. Doug Parks Audiobahn’s Director of Marketing and Richard Crowder Audiobahn’s Semi Truck driver represented Audiobahn to the fullest. When people weren’t checking out the rows and rows of tricked-out show cars they could be found grabbing all sorts of Audiobahn gear. T-shirts, lanyards, drink koozies, posters, and bags let the entire event know that Audiobahn was in the house.

The Audiobahn rig along with its two show cars; a twin-turbo Infiniti G35 and turbo charged Mazda Rx-8 were on display in the parking lot out side of the warehouse. Audiobahn showed up in full-force with the street team giving out t-shirts, banners, koozies, posters, catalogs, and lanyards to anyone that came by.
Set up was during the day on Saturday the 19th and once completed Eagle had shuttles taking their dealers and vendors to Minute Maid Park home of the Houston Astros for a game against the Texas Rangers. DEARBORN, Mich., March 28– Ford Motor Company [NYSE: F] and Sony Electronics today announced they have signed an agreement to offer Sony-branded audio systems across the lineup of Ford and Mercury branded vehicles in North America starting in 2008. The first vehicle to be equipped with Sony-branded audio will be unveiled April 4 at the New York Auto Show.
“We have enjoyed a very successful partnership at Ford of Europe with Sony-branded audio,” said Derrick Kuzak, Ford group vice president of Global Product Development. “Customers tell us that good audio systems are high on their list of priorities. Sony-branded audio and a host of other signature technologies will help differentiate Ford products in the marketplace.”
“Ford and Sony are two of the world’s most well known brands,” said Don Courvisier, vice president and general manager for the Automotive Entertainment Solutions Group at Sony Electronics in the United States and Europe. “This arrangement is a natural fit given our success together in Europe.”
This is the third collaboration between Sony and Ford in North America. Ford and Sony offered a limited-edition Focus Sedan in 2000, outfitted with Sony Xplod® audio equipment. More recently, Ford offered “Sound Designed by Sony” in the Ford Focus in North America.
In Europe, Sony-branded audio systems are offered in the Mondeo, Focus, C-Max, S-Max and Galaxy models.
Strong Brand
Ford signed a long-term agreement with Sony in part because of the strong connection American consumers have with the Sony brand, Kuzak said. Sony continues to rank as the top consumer brand in the United States when consumers were asked to name the brands they consider the best, according to the annual Harris Interactive® consumer brand survey. For the seventh year consecutive year, and the ninth time in the last 11 years, Sony was rated No. 1. The latest survey results were released July 12, 2006.
