Expect non-stop action as Monster Energy athletes hit events across Moto, BMX, Skate and Rally at X Games 16, beginning this Thursday, July 29 through Sunday, August 1. The DC Co-Founder and Rally athlete will be meeting fans and signing autographs at the DC Melrose Store tomorrow, July 28th from 5 to 7 PM. Look for Ken at Summer X Games 16 as he is set to compete in both Rally disciplines, Rally Car Racing and SuperRally on Saturday, July 31st at the LA Coliseum.

Nearly 2000 enthusiasts gathered amongst over 1000 Subarus at Wachusett Mountain Ski area for the 5th annual Wicked Big Meet, the largest gathering of Subarus in the make’s history on US soil. Subaru of New England presented the event and enthusiasts drove from as far as Oklahoma to view each other’s cars despite the fog and rain. Says Robert Champion, the director of Wicked Big Meet, “The day was so incredibly foggy that you truly couldn’t see more than a few rows of cars at a time. You could think that you’d reached the edge of the show over and over - with more cars to see each time.”

Mecum Auction sold more than 1,000 vehicles at their 23rd Annual Original Spring Classic Auction, May 19-23, 2010, in Indianapolis, Ind., where they offered an eclectic mix of classic muscle, race cars, trucks and even a Howard airplane.  Total gross sales (excluding buyer’s premium) for the five-day auction were $41.7 million. “A high-energy crowd and eager bidders participated in our flagship Original Spring Classic Auction, which had a final sell-through rate of 66%,” said President Dana Mecum.  “As our largest annual event, we strive to give enthusiasts a wide variety of vehicles to see, enjoy and purchase.  The buildings at the Indiana State Fairgrounds were packed wall to wall with everything from rare pace cars, exotic Mercedes-Benz and Model T’s to wooden boats, tractors and neon signs.  There truly was something for every taste and budget.”

The awards ceremony at the close of the GoodGuys Orange County Get Together Street Challenge Autocross was nearly an all-Hotchkis affair as Hotchkis Sport Suspension equipped cars took home gold in the Participant, Vendor and Truck classes. The Hotchkis family - a team of over a dozen customer cars from all over California and Colorado - competed in the autocross throughout the two day event, including several Mopars, new and old Camaros, Chevelles, a pair of C10 pickups and more.

BFGoodrich/Hurst/Woodhouse Ford Mustang Pace Car, built by Hurst Performance in conjunction with Woodhouse Auto Family of Blair, Neb. and BFGoodrich, sold for $120,000 at the 39th Annual Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Scottsdale, Ariz. One hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit the newest Victory Junction Gang Camp in Kansas City, KS, a year-round facility that serves children with chronic medical conditions and serious illnesses. In addition to taking home the highly-collectible pace car, Kyle and Pattie Petty, founders of Victory Junction Gang Camps, extended a special bonus to the winning bidder; an invitation to be their guests for a day for a tour of the Camp, an afternoon of hunting or fishing with Kyle and then join them for dinner at the Petty Farm.

Lingenfelter Performance Engineering’s 2010 L28 Camaro SS will be featured on the Powerblock Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 23-24, 2010, beginning at 11 a.m. EST on Spike TV.
