Steeda has designed and engineered a new 13” rear disc brake kit for S197 Mustangs and new GT500. The new kit has been developed utilizing the knowledge gained from Steeda’s vast competition experience dating back to IMSA racing with 1993 and 95 Cobra R’s. The new, Made in America Steeda brake kit, is the lightest of its kind on the market resulting in less unsprung weight and rotating mass. The wider, larger diameter vented rotors provide better cooling and are slotted to disperse heat and gas buildup reducing brake fade. The brackets are manufactured from aircraft grade aluminum for greater strength and lighter weight. When combined with Steeda’s 14” front disc brake kit, the 13” rear brakes provide optimum braking under all conditions.

This past weekend, the Circuit de la Sarthe played host to the 77th running of the 24 Hours at Le Mans where, for the second straight year, the #82 Risi Competizione GT2 Ferrari, equipped with Endless brake pads, finished first in class. On the third step of the podium was the #83 Krohn Racing/Risi Competizione GT2 Ferrari, also equipped with Endless brake pads. The team’s strong and flawless performance allowed the #82 to take the GT2 lead in the sixth hour, while the #83 consistently climbed its way through the field to garner third by the time the checkered flag dropped.
