Formula DRIFT entered the Toyota Speedway at Irwindale for the final event of the season. Ryan Tuerck takes the Round 7: Judgment Day victory, while Chris Forsberg takes the overall championship and the Tires.com Triple Crown bonus prize. The Toyota Speedway at Irwindale hosted the final event of the 6th season of Formula DRIFT. The sold out crowd was not disappointed as the drivers provided non-stop action throughout the event weekend. The event also provided plenty of additional entertainment for the fans including the Jtuned Auto Gallery, Famous Stars and Straps stunt bike demo, and a performance by the “Far East Movement.”

A few years back Pontiac decided to restore its reputation as GM’s High-Performance brand. Pontiac has seen much success with their line of G8 models. A mechanical twin of the highly successful Holden Commodore sedan, the G8 brings back the power and rear wheel drive once missing from Pontiac’s new car offerings. Entry-level G8 V6 models are capable of producing over 250 hp, which means the G8 rivals full size competitors from Chrysler as well as those in Germany. Also helping to restore Pontiac’s performance heritage is K&N Air Intake System part 63-3072 for the 2008-09 G8 with a 3.6 liter V6 engine.

The K&N High-Flow Intake System for the 2008-09 Pontiac G8 6.0L V8, (part no. 63-3071), increases horsepower by 11.88 hp at 4691 rpm over the stock configuration. To achieve more horsepower, K&N replaces the G8’s original intake assembly; including the air box, air filter and intake tube with an all-new intake design. The new system draws air through a K&N High-Flow Air Filter that increases airflow and never needs to be replaced.
